More great news!  Two abstracts submitted by team members to the HEIR  2012 conference have been accepted. The fifth annual conference of the Higher Education Institutional Research Network will be held at the University of Liverpool 11th – 13th July. The project team will have a poster presentation at this year’s LJMU Learning and Teaching Conference. The conference provides a forum to discuss innovative and effective learning, teaching and assessment practices and to explore findings from teaching-related research.  On the theme of ‘Student Engagement’, the two-day event will showcase presentations from academic and professional service staff across a range of topics.  The conference is open to LJMU staff, students and collaborative partner institutions to attend. http://www.ljmu.ac.uk/Academic_Enhancement/122996.htm

Professor Mantz Yorke referred to the project in his keynote address at the RAISE conference, Engaging Students in Challenging Times, Nottingham. The project was a topic of interest at in house seminars on the student experience led by Professor Yorke in two universities.

Project Director, Professor Sue Thompson, attended the end of project dissemination event for the Outduction Project which has researched the final (third year) experience. The Sophomore Slump Project was referenced in the keynote presentation for the Outduction project
